Airscream Review: An Alternative To Juul

Posted by Crafty E-Liquids on

Closed-pod systems are fast becoming a favoured option for both vapers and smokers trying to kick the habit. Juul has established itself as the no.1 closed pod vape in the USA and for good reason. With a super sleek design, smart technology, a range of delicious flavours and nicotine hit to satisfy even long-time smokers.

Unsurprisingly Juul it is not an affordable option for everyone and can be hard to source in Australia and New Zealand. Some US states have restricted the sales of non-tobacco flavours (such as Juul’s mango, fruit medley, cool cumber and crème brulee) which in turn has made these flavours more expensive and harder to come by. There are a growing number of competitors offering closed-pod systems on the market but the Airscream Airspops pod system offers a lot at such an affordable price.

    The Pros

This device is cheap, just $19.90 for a device and $9.90 for 2 cartridges makes this one of the most affordable closed-pod systems on the market.

With a sleek, slimline design, this device not only looks good but is light-weight and feels good in the hand. The simplicity of this closed pod system makes it super simple to use with no mess or fuss. It's ideal for beginners as there is no need to replace coils or top-up e-liquids, simply insert the cartridge and you're ready to go.

With all the positives, I think perhaps the winning aspect of this vape is its impressive vapour production, the draw and throat hit is very good and would satisfy many a smoker looking for an alternative to cigarettes.

    The Cons

Could expand on the range of tobacco flavours. Until recently there were only 2 available, Ice Toba (ice tobacco) and Ocean 11 Toba (cigar and whiskey medley - and tastes as weird as it sounds). Luckily Airscream has caught on and released a much desired Virginia Tobacco flavour for those who like a dry, no-frills, tobacco-like vape.

Like other pods systems, the simplicity of the design means that you don't get some of the features that you would with regular vapes such as airflow adjustment or battery life indicator. You also can't tell how much liquid remains in the pod with pulling it out of the device to have a look. It's good to get in the habit of pulling the pod out every now and then to make sure you don't dry burn the coil.

    • I’ve been smoking cigarettes since I was 13 years old, I turn 44 in December. I have tried nicotine gum and patches, cimpax and even cold turkey, but always have resorted back to smoking. So I have been vaping with an Airscream for a little over a month and have had 10 smokes in the whole time which has been the best results I have ever had. I feel a lot better on the vape, I dont cough like I use to and I am loving the flavours I smoke in my vape.
